Decentralised Indigenous Organisations (DIOs)
A series on the importance to have new Indigenous Organisations powered by Conventional, Unconventional and Extraordinary forces.
In this first series we will explain why Decentralised Indigenous Organisations (DIOs) could help to accelerate regenerative solutions.
Part I : A Seed From the Future : In which we consider the relevance of Decentralised Indigenous Organizations (DIOs) in the context of the metacrisis.
Part II (1/2) : The Forces of our Time — Conventional Forces for Inclusive Legitimacy : In which we explain the importance of DIOs being inclusive with Conventional Forces such as the United Nations, while not being bound to their decisions.
Part II (2/2) : The Forces of our Time — Unconventional Forces : The Expression of Freedom : In which we consider the creativity and diversity of Unconventional Forces to leverage DIOs, a.k.a DeFi, ReFi, NFTs, DAOs and other neologisms.
Part III : The Third Leviathan — Network as Hypersocial Species: Concluding this series by explaining why networks could be DIOs' greatest force for aligning people, capital, and energy to accelerate the process of planetary regeneration.
What this series is :
By exploring the concept of Decentralized Indigenous Organizations (DIOs), this series proposes a framework for addressing the meta-crisis. To illuminate this affirmation, we will first define the problems to explain why Indigenous Peoples are among the most legitimate communities to address our current situation, and then explore the different forces — conventional, unconventional, and extraordinary — at the disposal of DIOs.
What this series is not :
This series is not intended to present detailed solutions, action plans, or strategies to be implemented. It is intended to be synthetic and open-ended, inviting as many readers as possible to reflect on the relevance of DIOs in the digital age and how we might foster collective action to regenerate life and protect future generations.
This our first series, and other articles will be published to create a mycelium of reflections from different views and perspectives around DIOs, Web3 and existing Indigenous Organisations. Subscribe to stay tuned!
